Last week Paul closed his thoughts with verse 1 in chapter 11:
Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ.
Paul was not arrogant or seeing himself as sinless, but the new Church of two years did not know a lot about Jesus and his ministry.
This next section addresses a situation in Corinth that had to do with wearing hats and lengths of hair or head coverings, as two cultural backgrounds collided. Paul was a mediator with a heart for others, so his first reaction was: How can these people come together for the sake of Christ?
It seems to be a revisit to division and disorder which is based on attitudes and conduct in our worship and life as believers. Our lives should reflect respect, reverence and appropriateness as we focus our life on God as He places us, calls us, and fills us with the desire to please Him. — Pastor Don
