About | Who We Are

Port Gardner Church is a community of Christ followers that are led by the truth of God’s word as we live together as the church, serving our Lord and one another to the glory of God Almighty.

We value truth. The preaching and teaching of God's Word, the Bible is enthusiastically emphasized. We tend to preach and teach through entire books of the Bible in order to appreciate context, and to be reminded constantly of God's big picture. Our worship is the net result of our devotion to what God says about himself, our sin, and his grace extended to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And we love to worship our Lord.

We value community. Many if not most of Port Gardner Community Church people are committed to small home fellowship groups that meet on weeknights each week. In our small groups we learn to care for each other, and to care about the things God cares about.

We value purpose, meaning, we value the reason we are a local expression of God's Church in the first place - to be God's community of faith set in the midst of our greater or "host" community, Everett and Snohomish County. We exist to serve our city and region, to be active in sharing our faith with others, and to be involved in the planting of additional churches locally and around the world. We are a redeemed community called by God to participate with him in his redemptive work.

You will not find Port Gardner Community Church to be filled with people who appear to have "all of their stuff together." We are a redeemed people, not a perfect people. But we do love Jesus, and we attempt each day to humbly respond to his gracious love with joyful obedience.
