This week Paul will urge and address the Corinthians to think of him, Peter — aka Cephas, and Apollos not as leaders of factions but as servants of Christ. As Paul addresses judging others, creating cliques, and loyalties, he reminds them of their priorities in an attempt to promote unity. He also compares his literal rags to their riches, not as a Pauline pity party, but as a wakeup call for the Corinthians to see how blessed they truly are by God's grace.
Paul also considers himself a steward who has the responsibility of faithfulness to his master and was an efficient manager of the master's property, the secret things and wisdom of God, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. — Pastor Don
