This week Paul revisits an issue first seen in chapter 1 concerning agreement and division in the Church. It seems that now there is again concern about quarreling inside the Church and Paul is taking the place as somewhat of a playground supervisor, from a distance.
Quarreling like children, Paul calls out the Corinthians with some pretty tough words using children and infants as an example. He also refers to their maturity with statements like "taking only milk because of their inability to receive solid food."
This section is also timely because of another subject concerning planting and watering. As we move into the warm season of summer, remember we all have a place as God's fellow workers being part of His field and building. It seems there are enough weeds to pull for everyone, maybe even pull a few for Mom since it's Mothers Day this Sunday! — Pastor Don
