All rise, court is now in session (again).
After two years, and a change in leadership, we find Paul being seen as unfinished business. The Jews are very persistent and ask to be heard again, bringing the same charges to a different set of ears and with the same intent of killing Paul in an ambush. Paul appeals to Caesar, and the schemes are thwarted again.
Paul's imprisonments are noted to be a providential provision of protective custody, as God's plan for Paul to again present the gospel continues. God's Word shows us that, rather than complaining about a situation, we should watch for ways to serve and share the goodness of God. Our problems are often opportunities in disguise. — Pastor Don
