Everyone has seasons in their life. We all move from one place to another, either physically or spiritually as we grow in the Lord.
This week the Apostle Paul is moving from ending his second missionary journey to starting his third. Paul's first order of business was to spend some time strengthening all the disciples in Galatia and Phrygia.
Then, after arriving in Ephesus, he met Apollos — an eloquent, learned man, mighty in the scriptures. Apollos heard only about what John the Baptist said about Jesus, so his message was not the complete story. Paul, Aquila and Priscilla played an important role in helping Apollos see Jesus as the promised Messiah — the truth of His life, crucifixion and resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit.
Ministering and missions is not all drudgery, setback and suffering. The excitement of new leaders such as Priscilla, Aquila and Apollos are a welcome addition to the Church as they rejoice in the victories Christ brings in life. — Pastor Don
