Last week we spent time looking at Paul's strategy for clothing ourselves in our identity. With our identity in Jesus there are important attitudes, actions and character to reflect in our lives.
Thomas and Richard Smothers were one of the old comedy/folk song groups from the 1960s. The television show they appeared on was called "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour." In their routine, the signature tag line from their brotherly bantering came from Tom when he responded with "Mom always liked you best."
We will read at the end of chapter 3 that God in His disciplines shows no favoritism. Paul will direct our attention to what some call "mutual submission" in relationships covering all aspects of life. Wives, husbands, children, fathers, slaves, masters, etc. All need the peace of Christ to rule in their hearts.
God has a plan for each of us, and His plan must include love and thanksgiving. — Pastor Don
