Now that we just had Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday (the day we remember and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ) we are returning to our series on the Parables of Jesus.
To refresh our memories, the parables that we looked at so far are parables that give us insight into the kingdom of heaven. Briefly, the “kingdom of heaven” represents God’s reign and authority over all creation as well as the present reality of God’s influence in our lives. The last parable we looked at was the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant that taught us an attribute that is consistent with the kingdom of heaven. And, that attribute is forgiveness.
This Sunday, we will look at the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard, which will teach us more about the kingdom of heaven.
