This week we look again at the teaching of Jesus and critical thinking with one of my favorite topics: fishing. Of course, this is again "the kingdom of heaven is like..." with a symbol or metaphor of something everyone could understand. In most cases, fishing is a targeted sport, using certain bait to catch certain fish. But with a net or dragnet many species are taken all together, some good and some bad. In this parable, it's not the fishermen that do the sorting this day and not all the fish are keepers.
