Good News of Great Joy

Think about what lately has been good news that filled you with joy. How about "great joy"? Everyone can find joy in good news, especially in times that seem to support the old saying "Bad news rides a fast horse." So it was with those in the Roman empire when the first census was declared by Cesar Augustus. In this inconvenient, costly, and demanding decree we find a message will be delivered that not only brought Good News but news that changed the world. Angels, shepherds, an innkeeper, and a manger all played a part in God's plan to change what seemed to be bad into the greatest Joy ever proclaimed. As we face the obstacles in life that seem defeating,  remember that Jesus brings everlasting victory, which is News of Great Joy.
