This Sunday we will be getting to the end of the book of James. It has been a good resource for practical advice on Christian living. Perhaps this is because James has the characteristics of a sermon. In the span of 108 verses, James repeatedly urges Christians to live their lives with integrity according to godly wisdom; that is, wisdom from above, from the God who is the giver of “every perfect gift,” rather than according to worldly wisdom, which leads to death. As we embark on the last verses of this book, we will see that James continues with straightforward guidance on prayer, faith, truth, and those who wander from the truth.
