Last Sunday we read the first twelve verses of James Chapter 3 about how our speech can be pleasant or it can be painful, with praise and cursing contained in the same sentence. In his determination, James found this to be unbecoming of Christian behavior.
This week we begin Part 3 of the blueprint of James with a look at genuine wisdom and the demonstration of living faith in the presence of wisdom. Many have known someone who claimed to be wise but acted foolishly. True wisdom can sometimes be measured by the depth of a person's character and actions. Foolishness leads to disorder, but wisdom leads to peace and goodness. Careful, winsome speech and wise, loving actions are the seeds of peace. (Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9)
