He Is Risen, Indeed!
April 20, 2025 Speaker: Don Ringman Series: Stand Alone Sermons
Topic: Easter Passage: Luke 18:31–34
Resurrection Sunday is the day that, all over the world, we gather to celebrate our Risen Savior Jesus Christ, the bringer and giver of salvation by faith. This week we will arrive early to enjoy brunch, then share time reading the Scripture accounts from the Bible, singing praise to God and taking communion. This day is also one of many opportunities we have as God's creation to accept this free gift of salvation offered to us, and believe in Jesus.
Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”
The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.
Luke 18:31-34
Even today there are those who do not understand, but when we hear "He is risen, He is risen indeed. He is not here for He has risen, just as He said," God's word will bring clarity.
