This week we will begin the first section of two blueprint themes of 1 Thessalonians, "Faithfulness to the Lord."
We can find a great example and advice in Paul's words to these young believers, and us, as he commends them for three important things: their work that is produced by faith, their labor that is produced by love, and their endurance that is inspired by hope. These character traits are marks of effective Christians, in any age, and the Holy Spirit is ready to help us stand firm in faith when, not if, opposition occurs.
