The Heart of the Problem
October 20, 2024 Speaker: Don Ringman Series: Stand Alone Sermons
Topic: Stand Alone Passage: Philippians 2:1–18, Proverbs 4:23–27
This is our third standalone message, and I have always found it to be a good investment to spend some time on important topical messages each year that help us live life as believers. This week we will be looking at two passages as we unpack how our character affects our heart and how our heart affects our character. An old preacher once said, "The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart."
As followers of Jesus, we walk together through seasons of challenge, not just locally but globally. The Bible tells us that the storms we go through in life help us in our spiritual growth. Allowing God to help is the best choice for effective results, and as Spurgeon said: "Storms make sailors sturdy, and trials help make Christians strong in their faith."
