Change Your Mind and Believe

As Pastor Don said last week: If the Bible says it A LOT, it is IMPORTANT. Well, one of those important things is the word and concept of “repentance.” The word or concept is used well over a hundred times in the Bible. One of the key themes of New Testament preaching is repentance. John the Baptist preached on it. Jesus preached on it, and certainly both Paul and Peter preached on it. This theme is important because it is vital to salvation. 

What is repentance? If you’ve been around Christian circles for any length of time you have heard it said that repentance is a change of direction or a change of mind. This is true; however, this may sound simple or superficial, or you may have lost the impact of what this word means. So, this Sunday I want to dig down into what repentance entails – what true repentance is.
