ADVENT | Christmas is Here!

Let me wish everyone a very merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus! This Sunday we will be gathering to sing praise, read Luke 2:1-40, Mathew 2:1-23, and our theme verse for this year's advent, Isaiah 9:6-7:

For to us a child is born,
   to us a son is given,
   and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
   Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
   Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
   there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
   and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
   with justice and righteousness
   from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
   will accomplish this.

Christmas is always one of the best times to allow the Bible scriptures to preach themselves. The Gospel remains the same throughout history that the Savior, promised Messiah, has been born. And even today as in the past, wise men still seek Him. — Merry Christmas, Pastor Don
