Acts | Stiff-Necked People

This week we cover an inflection point for the early church. Up to this time the church is growing quickly as believers are being added daily. Tension with the Jewish religious establishment continues to rise. Stephen, one of the believers, gets into a dispute with some leaders at a local synagogue and is brought in front of the Jewish Council. Stephen states his faith boldly, but this leads to his murder at the hands of the Jewish leaders. We will examine Stephen’s bold sermon as well how this tragic event fits within God’s plan for his church. — Tim
